The Location
This position will be based at our Snowy Hydro Limited office in Cooma.

The Role
As the Project Manager, you will oversee the Tantangara Fish Screens and Weirs Project, ensuring its successful delivery. This role involves leading Snowy Hydro's efforts in the procurement, design, and construction phases of the project and reporting directly to the Deputy Project Director. Your primary focus will be the timely installation of an effective barrier to prevent pest species movement from Tantangara, which is crucial for the operation of Snowy 2.0. You will also engage regularly with Snowy Hydro's Business As Usual stakeholders, various external agencies (such as the Department of Planning, Fisheries, and National Parks and Wildlife Services), and the Snowy 2.0 Main Works Contractor.
Responsibilities include:

Monitor construction progress with contractors and report updates to the Owner's Project Controls Team.

Assist in reviewing the Contractor's Construction Management Plan and other relevant documents.

Support Environmental and Safety Assurance officers in ensuring compliance with CEMP and HSMP.

Review Contractor method statements for constructability, risks, safety, scheduling, and resources.

Assist in reviewing the Contractor's Working Program for each work section.

Provide regular reports on work status, progress, and issues related to quality and safety.

Prepare for and attend site status meetings with contractors as needed.

Communicate QA, safety, environmental, and commercial issues to the contractor and Owner's Team using the ACONEX document control and management platform.

Support the Quality Lead - Construction by managing and documenting Quality Management activities.

Assist in reviewing and approving Contractor's Inspection and Test Plans, ensuring resource availability for Employer's Responsibilities.

Oversee construction activities for quality compliance, including hold and witness points, design specifications, Employer's Regulations, and Contractor documentation.

Manage NCR registers and review Owner's Team Non-Conformance Reports for commercial implications before issuing to the Contractor.
You'll Bring To The Team:
Demonstrated project management experience is required, along with a degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) or in Construction/Project Management. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of Aconex and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience in delivering complex infrastructure projects with multiple contract interfaces is essential. The role demands proven project management, construction, and engineering skills, with the capability to lead projects from inception to completion, manage stakeholders, and navigate broader business drivers. Additionally, the candidate should be adept at influencing, negotiating with, and supervising external contractors and consultants.
