We are currently looking for a motivated Maintenance Technician – Plant Access (Station Operator), to join our Operations team in the Murray Region based in Khancoban, NSW. This role is based on a 9 day fortnight, (not FIFO or DIDO) The successful candidate will be responsible for completing assigned maintenance tasks on plant and equipment including routine maintenance, defect maintenance, isolating, restoring, operating and commissioning of HV plant and equipment, as well as developing and reviewing isolation/restoration programs to address identified risks and hazards. 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• An electrical or mechanical trade background or equivalent, with relevant High Voltage operational experience preferred

• Post trade qualifications will be advantageous to this role

• Technical knowledge of a variety of apparatus and plant associated with heavy industry, together with strong analytical and research skills

• Knowledge of maintenance program requirements, analysis techniques and maintenance management practices

• Willing to obtain authorisation to isolate, restore and perform maintenance in accordance with Snowy Hydro Access Rules, Policies and Procedures

• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of personnel including stakeholders, employees, management and contractors

• Proficient computer skills including experience with maintenance management systems ie:Ellipse, SCADA, microsoft or google applications

• Knowledge of WHS, EEO and Environmental Policies and standards

• Required to participate in an onsite on-call roster
