Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
About the role
As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for assisting with programme management and reporting for Snowy Hydro's 2.0 project which mainly focuses on planning and monitoring of ongoing works, including measuring performance against a detailed programme of works, identifying key risks and proposing mitigation strategies. This role is required to keep the Project team informed of timelines and interdependencies of multiple support projects, which includes the owners team works and their interface with the main works programme.
Key responsibilities

Updating and reporting on the relevant programme for the Snowy 2.0 project

Assist in developing, maintaining and monitoring detailed programmes for owner teams works and support projects

Provide input for master programme maintenance and update

Developing, maintaining, monitoring and reporting on key KPIs for works performed and lookahead programmes

Review and provide feedback on programmes parared by contractors and other third parties, and participate and advise in the risk management works for time-related risks

Liaison with the Project team from a planning and commercial perspective, to ensure effective programme management is maintained throughout the project lifecycle

Communicate and negotiate with contractors for project planning related aspects, and assist in analysis and response of delay and disruption claims from contractors
To be successful, you will need:

Bachelor's degree related to Construction or Project Management, or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

experience using Primavera P6

Understanding of multidisciplinary interdependencies for a mega construction project and multidisciplinary project execution experience

Analytical mind, with the ability to comprehend complex project programmes and interdependencies between packages in EPC turnkey environment

Understanding of the cost management system including time phasing and overall project control function

Strong communication, presentation, skill, team player with the ability to deliver under pressure
