A traineeship with Snowy Hydro is a unique opportunity to combine completing the TAFE qualification alongside gaining real world, on-the-job experience. 

To be a Snowy Hydro trainee, you will be someone who is finishing year 12 in 2022, and

• has a strong desire to learn and a curiosity about how business works,

• is committed to furthering their skills and knowledge through on-the-job learning and studying,

• can ‘think outside the box', help the team problem-solve and bring new ideas to the business, 

• is a strong communicator with good interpersonal skills and enjoys being part of a team,

• has a keen eye for detail, good time management skills and the ability to handle different tasks,

• is proactive, punctual and reliable, and

We have traineeships available across the whole business including our Asset Management & Engineering, Snowy 2.0, Community Relations, Human Resources, Finance and Procurement teams.

As a trainee, you will

• be employed on a full-time 12-month contract and be paid to learn and expand your knowledge and experience (adding valuable skills and experience to your CV).

• upon successful completion of your TAFE course, have gained an accredited Certificate III and IV in Business Administration. 

• be working with experts in their field, who will teach, mentor and support you through every step of your traineeship.

• build a supportive peer network with all levels within the business to share your ideas and experiences.
