Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy.
Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
An exciting opportunity exists within this project for a suitably qualified and experienced individual in our Commercial team for a Contracts Administrator. This role will support the Site construction team with contractual matters as well as act as a liaison with the wider Project and Compliance team.
Reporting to the Contracts Lead, your key accountabilities will include:

Evaluate claims/requests for variation for reasonableness/desirability

Draft and manage contractual communications (notices, instructions, variations)

Act as the contractual interface between the accountable individual and the contractor, ensuring timely review and approval/reconciliation of variations;

Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies;

Monitor minor contract status/expiry/funding and process variations as required

Assist with claim assessments and the identification of potential claims

Monitoring the Contractor's notifications, correspondence and site-related notices as specified in the Contract

Reviewing the Contractor's daily, weekly and monthly reports and escalating any missing information, inconsistencies or positioning for claims.

Collating information for the preparation of weekly and monthly reports for the Project

Attend meetings with contractors and other third parties as required
In addition to the above, our ideal applicants will be able to demonstrate:
-
4+ years experience in major project contract administration and claims management
-
Strong communications/report writing/letter drafting skills
-
Strong negotiation skills

Familiarity with complex bespoke contracts and modified forms of contract in use with Snowy 2.0 (eg FIDIC, AS 4000)

Familiarity with relevant legislation (eg Security of Payment, Australian Jobs Act)
