Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy.

Our role at Snowy is to ensure energy security, underpin the transition to renewables, and increase competition in energy markets. Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. We have also recently expanded our renewable portfolio to include contracted energy with more than 10 wind and solar projects.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Spot trader/Analyst to join our successful Trading team based in Sydney. This position is ideally suited to proactive individuals with a strong maths and/or finance/economics background. The role is accountable for analysing and forecasting National Electricity Market outcomes and providing input to the Trading Strategy. Spot trading duties are on a roster basis, managing hydro, gas and diesel generation assets. Team culture is critical to our success which includes maintaining constructive relationships with other business units and delivering superior customer service with market insights.
