An exciting opportunity exists for a committed and driven Electrical - Controls Engineerto join our Outage Strategy team. As a Controls Engineer, we'd expect you to provide electrical and controls system design solutions, quality requirements and technical support to ensure that the project requirements are met and assets meet the long term reliability and availability requirements for the business.
Some of the tasks you will be responsible for are:
Developing specific scopes of work, technical specifications and quality requirements to support the delivery of the project requirements;
Interpreting customer requirements, identifying and addressing design requirements and engineering problems;
Managing the design and change control processes and ensuring agreed solutions are implemented accurately and within budget;
Providing expertise and know-how to the field teams with specific input to the development of work instructions, inspection and test plans and risk assessments, then supporting the execution, handover and defect management;
Identifying, developing and technically supporting contracts for electrical controls works;
Support the Commissioning Manager and Commissioning Coordinator in establishing the test plans, developing test procedures, leading test teams, liaising with compliance approving bodies, analysing test data and completing test reports;
Deliver accurate and timely reporting on specific project items and issues arising in a proactive and timely manner providing control strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
Demonstrated project engineering skills with the ability to drive electrical and controls engineering tasks from inception to completion;
Experience in leading small, multi-discipline project teams to deliver project work;
Engineering degree or similar qualification, with industry experience OR multiple years of relevant experience with a diploma and willing to undertake degree;
Ability to negotiate with, manage and monitor external contractors and consultants will come naturally to you. This role is based in Cooma, with some travel to the regions. Sounds like you?
