Snowy Hydro has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven Hydro Maintainer - Civil with our Maintenance Team based in Khancoban.
The role of a Hydro Maintainer - Civil at Snowy Hydro includes a range of civil works and plant activities including -
inspections civil assets and recording condition
dam surveillance / inspections,
road and drainage maintenance,
vegetation and plant maintenance
Supporting the Maintenance Manager and Civil Team Leader all duties are required to be performed to high safety and quality standards to ensure the required availability and reliability of the assets are maintained throughout the region.
We're looking for a reliable self-starter with a strong safety and quality focus. The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in operation of heavy mobile plant including trucks (up to heavy rigid), slewing & non-slewing cranes, graders, loaders, tractors, bobcats, elevated work platforms, etc
Ability to attain appropriate skills, certificates or qualifications relevant to civil maintenance work such as rigging, scaffolding, confined space, working at heights, traffic control, chainsaw operation, use of powered hand tools, etc
Ability to work in a wide range of environments including power stations, tunnels, alpine conditions and on-water
Fundamental skills for usage of computers and mobile computing technology
Ability to work alone or in a team environment and additional hours as required
