An exciting opportunity exists for a Manager Maintenance within the Operations team at Cabramurra NSW to lead a team of multi-disciplined personnel consisting of team leaders, electrical & mechanical trades/technicians, protection technicians, plant access coordinators and civil hydro maintainers. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver the annual maintenance plan, and lead the team in providing preventative, predictive, breakdown and corrective maintenance services.
This role will be instrumental in fostering cultural change through the recognition of high performance individuals and identifying key development opportunities for employees. The individual in this role will be highly motivated, energetic, driven and able to inspire the team.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring the execution of scheduled maintenance in accordance with the regional work plan and quality expectations.
Allocating appropriate resources to plant breakdowns to ensure prompt and efficient return to service consistent with market requirements
Providing adequate resources to ensure the timely development of the maintenance teams elements of the work pack
Managing the allocation of resources to monitor and respond to plant
To be successful in this role, you will need:
5 - 10 years experience in successfully leading a multi-disciplined team of Team Leaders, Trades, Non-Trades and Technicians including culture change and continuous improvement
Substantial experience in maintenance, engineering, or maintenance management in heavy and capital intensive industry
Demonstrated success in "achieving results through others" while managing safety, environment, quality and process improvement
Trade & post-Trade qualifications or Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree in a maintenance/trades field
Sound computer skills including the use of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS), spreadsheets and statistical analysis
Demonstrated ability to communicate with a range of personnel and customers
Understanding of Plant Reliability and Planning & Scheduling principles would be advantageous
Demonstrated experience in making sound business decisions independently
