An opportunity has become available for a Risk and Assurance Engineer to join our high performing Asset and Engineering team based out of our head office in Cooma.
The Risk and Assurance Engineer's primary objective is to successfully implement and manage the Operations Integrity Management Framework and support systems and processes. In addition the successful individual will Provide subject matter expertise and leadership of Major Accident Events (MAE) and Critical Operational Risk management and assurance to meet business & stakeholder needs.
Reporting to the Manager - Reliability & Asset Integrity, you will be responsible for:
Major Accident Event Risk Management - Establishment and ongoing leadership of the Major Accident Event (MAE) Bowties and critical controls assurance process.
Operational Integrity Management - Critical Operational Risk and Assurance Management - Ensure critical operational risks (Projects, Regulatory, etc) and MAE's, have assurance management plans that are adequate, effective, communicated and monitored for effectiveness
Project Risk Assurance - Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with Snowy Hydro Project Management processes, Management of Change and Assurance Frameworks
Assurance reporting and Improvement plans - Provide reports relating to Operational risk and assurance including vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities to Senior Management & Executive Risk committees when required
Risk Identification and Assessment. Facilitate Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (Bowties, HAZOPs etc) for Operational teams as required.
What you'll need to be able to demonstrate to be our successful candidate:
At least 10 years Process Safety Experience including implementing or working with 20 element Energy Institute framework or equivalent Risk Management framework
Strong Project Management skills with experience in dealing with process and system related projects preferable.
High-level technical competency and or qualification in health and safety, risk management, bowtie risk assessment technique, and critical control verification
Sound knowledge of Quality, OH&S, EEO and Environmental policies, procedures and standards..
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain key stakeholder relationships
High-level computing skills across a range of business software packages. Specifically Risk Management software
