An exciting opportunity exists for two motivated Trainee Maintenance Technicians – Plant Access, within the Upper Tumut region (Cabramurra). The successful candidates will be responsible for completing assigned maintenance tasks on plant and equipment including routine maintenance, defect maintenance, isolating, restoring, operating and commissioning plant and equipment, as well as developing and reviewing isolation/restoration programs to address identified risks and hazards.
Reporting to the Team Leader Maintenance and working a 4 day week as part of a Drive in Drive out roster this opportunity offers the perfect balance for work and play.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
An electrical or mechanical trade background (essential)
Technical knowledge of a variety of apparatus and plant associated with heavy industry, together with strong analytical and research skills
Knowledge of maintenance program requirements, analysis techniques and maintenance management practices
Willing to obtain authorisation to isolate, restore and perform maintenance in accordance with Snowy Hydro Access Rules, Policies and Procedures (if not already authorised)
Demonstrated ability to communicate with a broad range of personnel including employees, management and contractors
Proficient computer skills including experience with maintenance management systems
Knowledge of WHS, EEO and Environmental Policies and standards
Willing to participate in an on-call roster
